C reative Launch has partnered with Digital Arts Studio to offer our clients assistance with their printing and framing and to help expand the market opportunities for their work. Offering limited edition fine art prints is a great way to increase your income and expand your collector’s options. You may have a client that has collected your originals for their home. A quality giclee print might be a great choice for their office. Fine art prints also help you target art lovers who maybe can't afford an orginial. Creative Launch is often asked by artists for assistance creating fine art prints of their original work. The process is sometimes unfamiliar and choosing the right printer and materials can be confusing. Many artists don’t have a printer that specializes in fine art images where they live.
Giclée Process
The first and most critical step in producing a giclée is creating a high resolution, digitized copy of the original artwork. Digital Arts Studio is capable of producing direct scans up to 8200 dpi or image capture by a large format digital studio camera.
Once the image is in digital format, they “fine tune” as needed to color correct and ensure the best possible match to your orginial work. Proofing is strongly recommended to make sure all color and detail expectations are met.
In the giclée printing process, a fine stream of pigmented inks (more than four million droplets per second) is sprayed onto specially treated fine art papers, canvas or fabrics up to 60 inches in width. Meticulous calibration procedures provide stunningly consistent results even when limited edition prints are created weeks or months apart. Unlike any other printing method, giclées may be ordered as needed, allowing artists to self-publish without incurring huge upfront overhead or inventory costs.
Creative Launch trusts Digital Arts Studio to handle their clients work because they have the latest equipment, years of experience and specialize in fine art prints. They use 100% cotton rag archival paper and canvas, so the work will last for generations. Creative Launch is please to be able to help artists not only market their fine art prints, but now assist with creating them as well.
